CNSME® H14110A05 Slurry Pump Volute Liner is an important wear part of 16/14TU-AH slurry pumps. It forms a slurry pump chamber with throat bush and frame plate liner insert where the slurry would flow through them. Slurry volute Liner is a curved funnel increasing in area to the discharge port. It is often used withslurry pump impeller. As the area of the cross-section increases, the volute reduces the speed of the liquids and increases the pressure of the liquids. The main purposes of a volute liner is to help balance the hydraulic pressure on the shaft of the slurry pump.
Volute Liner is one of the most important wet-end spare parts of a slurry pump, as well as the heaviest and biggest part among the wet-end spare parts. Volute liner is one piece when it is metal, and it will become two pieces - cover plate liner and frame plate liner when the material is rubber.
The volute is used on the pump body, and its function is mainly to protect the pump body from material damage, and to stabilize the operation of the equipment and prolong the service life. Usually, the material conveyed by the slurry pump contains solid particles of a certain size and some acid-base ions, so the sheath is subjected to wear and corrosion of the slurry during use.
